Written by Glenn Chandler, adapted from the novel by John Rae
A group of London schoolboys are evacuated during the blitz to the Norfolk countryside and find themselves embroiled in a different kind of war with a local gang. It also explores a love affair between an English boy, John Curlew, and a young half-German refugee Oliver Grimm, a relationship that ignites hostility. When the boys attempt to stage a mock execution with real rifles, tragedy is inevitable. It won the SoSoGay Magazine Award for Best New Theatre Production of that year.
